We focus on making ideas come to life.
I established Deopea as a personal challenge to develop a comprehensive website utilizing unfamiliar technologies. I initially struggled and lacked the inspiration and drive to create it. Then, while enjoying a drink on a pleasant summer's day, an idea for a web app came to mind.
The concept was simple: to assist users in locating bars, pubs, or restaurants that have outdoor seating and are currently in the sun based on surrounding buildings and weather conditions. It quickly expanded to additionally aid people with conditions that make them particularly sensitive to sunlight. With it, they can find venues where they can still be out with their friends but not have to worry about getting burnt. That idea became BITS.
With this new direction, I began envisioning Deopea as a platform to showcase my personal projects. While I don't expect them to necessarily go anywhere, the enjoyment I get from creating them is more important. I love to make projects that adhere to best practices, perform well and which challenge me.
Take this that you are looking at right now, it is made using Qwik, tailwindcss w/DaisyUI and Cloudflare Pages. All but tailwind I had not used before, although Qwik is quite similar to React, which I use in my day-to-day.
Essentially, Deopea serves as a repository for my evolving ideas and projects. Over time, I aspire to expand this platform to include contributions from others who may have compelling concepts but lack the knowhow or time to bring them to reality.
My ultimate goal is to create a space where individuals can share their ideas and collaborate with others to create projects that benefit many. Because, after all, if one person thinks it's a fun, good, and/or helpful idea, then there are bound to be others whom (is that the correct usage?) think the same.
So, feel free to come back and check out what I have been working on.
